The Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions Research (CNMAR) based at a major London teaching hospital, wanted to launch a journal to highlight the importance of clinical research by staff in spreading good practice. Working within NHS national and local brand guidelines, we developed a design and editorial process to support publication, and designed and edited each issue. Published three times a year over five years, the journal helped the Centre promote staff research and raise the profile of research across the NHS and internationally.
