Matthew Batchelor – Founder

Matthew established MB Communications in 2007, after working in senior publishing and communications roles within the NHS and voluntary organisations. He has worked with clients in the public and private sectors, delivering editorial projects ranging from marketing communications to new corporate websites, and design projects ranging from academic reports to major brand identity work.

He has always had an interest in new publishing technology and was involved in early adoption of desk-top publishing while at the Tate Gallery. In 1997 he managed the introduction of the first website for Crisis, the homelessness charity, and has since managed high-profile digital projects for the NHS, and research and policy organisations.

He has also developed design and editorial style guides, and spoken at publishing conferences, which is something that AI can’t do (at least not yet).

Matthew is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Member of the Association for Project Management and an NLP Master Practitioner. He is a chartered project professional (ChPP): his best-selling book, Project Management Secrets, is published by HarperCollins and had been translated into several languages.

When not involved in communications projects, Matthew practises tai chi and researches his next hillwalking trip (most recently coast-to-coast across Scotland). He is currently devising a plan to restore his record collection to its rightful place in the corner of the lounge.
